WHY NEWOOD
A local, in-house team, health-certified materials, and a warranty you can actually call us about. Here's what that means for your project.
01
Every piece we build starts in our own shop in Concord, Ontario. We're a Canadian-owned and operated company, and we serve homeowners and businesses across Vaughan, Toronto, Richmond Hill, Markham, and the rest of the GTA. When you work with us, your project isn't outsourced overseas or built off a generic template — it's measured, cut, and finished a short drive from where it's installed, by people who live in the same community you do.
02
From your first measurement to the final install, the same team handles your project start to finish. We don't hand your job off to subcontractors we've never met. That matters for three reasons: quality stays consistent because the people building your cabinetry are the same people accountable for it; scheduling is more reliable since we're not waiting on a third party's availability; and if something ever needs attention under warranty, you're dealing directly with us — not chasing down a sub who's moved on to another job.
03
The boards inside your cabinets matter as much as what you see on the outside. Lower-grade composite panels can off-gas formaldehyde and other compounds into your home's air for years. We build with panels from Egger, Tafisa Canada, and Uniboard — established North American manufacturers whose boards are certified to FSC® responsible-forestry standards and meet TSCA Title VI / CARB Phase 2 requirements, the current North American standard for low formaldehyde emissions. For a nursery, a bedroom closet, or a kitchen where your family spends hours every day, that's not a small detail.
04
Every project starts with an in-home measurement of your actual space, not a catalog size. Cabinet boxes, doors, and drawers are cut to those exact measurements in our Concord shop, so the fit is precise down to the room — no filler panels, no awkward gaps. It's slower than pulling from a stock size, but it's the difference between cabinetry that looks installed and cabinetry that looks built for the space.
05
There's no corporate call center between you and the people doing the work. Questions about your project go directly to the team building it — not a sales rep reading from a script, and not a rotating cast of subcontractors. That's simpler for you, and it's why our quotes don't change halfway through a project.
